HI, I'M CARRIE

As a mom to three girls and a law enforcement wife, chaos is pretty much how we live our lives. Escaping to the outdoors holds a special place in my heart, and I use every opportunity I can do get myself and my kids outside. 
I have always been an outdoorsy girl, but admittedly I had a period of my life where trying to get outside and do all the things I used to love doing felt overwhelming and impossible. When our firstborn 18 months old we found out we were expecting twins, amidst a multi-state move and a career change. Shortly after moving, my pregnancy become complicated and high-risk, landing me in and out of the hospital until I delivered. During this journey my confidence to get outside, let alone with three kids, was shot. It took me a full year to really gain that confidence back and share my love for the great outdoors with my girls. While my husband was away for a 5 month academy training, during the winter, I pulled the trigger and have never looked back. 
It is my hope that by sharing our love for outdoor adventures and how we do it, others might be inspired to join us.
